Spring is here
A month late, but, finally, spring is here. Harry and Melvin are pleased to report that all three colonies have made it through their first winter. They have been out foraging and we are so pleased to be able to watch them going about their business again.
There is a meeting of the Oxfordshire natural beekeepers group on Sunday 14th, April and we are pleased that new members will be present. We are making our second visit to Paul’s apiary in Steeple Aston, the refreshments were second to none there last year! We plan to ask our good friend and mentor, Gareth John, to visit our apiary over the next week or two, to oversee an uninvasive look at the hives, to see if there is any sign of infection, and to point us in the right direction for the coming bee season.
Best regards, Melvin and Harry
